Mr. Schutz graduated from Franklin and Marshall College and obtained an M.B.A. in finance from Fordham University.
Anton Schutz founded Mendon Capital Advisors Corp in 1996 with a long/short and event driven investment strategy focused exclusively on investing in the financial services sector. Mr. Schutz is responsible for the definition and implementation of portfolio strategy for the Fund.
Mr. Schutz has been in the investment and risk management business since 1986, focusing on investment and portfolio management. Mr. Schutz served as a senior vice president at RBC Dain Rauscher in institutional sales trading in the financial institutions group. He also worked at Chase Manhattan Bank for 10 years where his responsibilities included structuring investment products utilizing hedge funds and the development and application of financial risk strategies. Mr. Schutz is also the portfolio manager of the Burnham Financial Services Fund and the Burnham Financial Industries Fund.
Mr. Schutz is often interviewed regarding his expertise in the financial services sector. He appears regularly as a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barrons, The New York Times, Financial Times, Business Week, Investors' Business Daily and Smart Money.
Frank Barkocy joined Mendon Capital Advisors in 2007 and serves as Director of Research.
Mr. Barkocy was most recently with Keefe Managers as an executive vice president and director of research. Prior to joining Keefe, Mr. Barkocy was a first vice president at Merrill Lynch for 25 years. He also served as managing director at Advest and worked for Josephthal & Co., heading up the financial institutions' research groups at those firms. Mr. Barkocy was elected to Institutional Investor magazine's All-American Research Team for nine years during his career. He was also named a Wall Street Journal All-Star. Mr. Barkocy is frequently quoted in American Banker, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and CNN Money.
Mr. Barkocy earned a bachelor of business administration degree in business management from St. Francis College.
Amy Sullivan joined Mendon Capital Advisors in 2003. Her primary responsibilities include corporate planning, compliance and operations and risk management.
Before joining Mendon Capital Advisors, Ms. Sullivan was at Bankers Trust Company for ten years. She served as Division Head of global institutional services, with responsibility for operational support of the combined global custody, corporate trust, retirement services and private banking business lines. She also served as a Vice President in client services for the international and domestic bank market within global custody.
Ms. Sullivan earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Niagara University.
Mr. Hutchinson joined the firm in 2013, and is responsible for the marketing efforts for the firm. Before joining Mendon Capital Advisors, Mr. Hutchinson worked for Neuberger Berman as Regional Director and external wholesaler; promoted mutual funds and retirement products for Oppenheimer Funds; and was in sales and marketing of mutual funds and managed investment products for Credit Suisse Asset Management.
Mr. Hutchinson served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, and conducted multiple overseas deployments.
Mr. Hutchinson earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
Andy Schoeneman joined Mendon Capital Advisors in 2005, after a three-year internship program with the firm. He is responsible for all the trading related functions of the firm. He also serves as an analyst primarily covering West and Midwest banks and thrifts. In addition, he assists in compiling and monitoring exposure and liquidity levels.
Mr. Schoeneman earned a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from St. Bonaventure University and obtained a M.S. in business from Nazareth College.
Ann Sandman joined Mendon Capital Advisors in 2002. She provides administrative support, facilitates general office functions and record keeping.
Before joining Mendon Capital Advisors, Ms. Sandman served as administrative assistant at WROC-TV's national sales department. She was also the office manager at CC Communications, an advertising agency.
Ms. Sandman earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Nazareth College of Rochester.
